Interview with Israel Lara R : Frank Scott: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?. Israel Lara R : Society suffering caused by natural disasters .Frank Scott: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?. Israel Lara R : The protection of users either at home or at work. you and your family safe .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. Israel Lara R : It is a very ambitious project, seeking to further develop and even serve as inspiration for similar projects .Frank Scott: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?. Israel Lara R : About 6 months the conceptual idea and research .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Israel Lara R : Mexico and other countries in particular have been affected by natural disasters .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Israel Lara R : no. currently the project continues. With the possibility of working together with a team of external work for greater reach or look for an investor .Frank Scott: What made you design this particular type of work?. Israel Lara R : My background is arqtuiectura but I've always chosen over them, collaborate with improving society .Frank Scott: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?. Israel Lara R : There are some influences due to the change of mentality we Caused after notices how fragile we are in a situation of natural disaster. There are some prototypes of different dimensions features, cost, functions and use in Japan .Frank Scott: Who is the target customer for his design?. Israel Lara R : Anyone who may be in vulnerability against natural disasters, the project does not mark the borders as natural disasters neither do .Frank Scott: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?. Israel Lara R : The difference of this project is the easy adaptability to every environment in addition to the analysis of each specific circumstance in the world and its different form of rescue, in which improvements were observed and can be implemented both in security and anthropometry. Safeguarding its occupier against mass of water, debris, flashes of electricity .Frank Scott: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?. Israel Lara R : It needed a short name making allusion to the rescue and disaster; from there comes color and name .Frank Scott: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?. Israel Lara R : Software: 3D design, calculation of shares, professional edition .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Israel Lara R : The shape resembles to a capsule which in addition to distribute the impacts, it is anthropometrically suitable, has a found reinforcement, similar to an assembly that will prevent the concentration of the impact on a single point. .Frank Scott: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?. Israel Lara R : The project was asesorado in the begining by different disciplines, unfortunately, not all disciplines They show the same passion for generate ideas for improvement of society if not in their spare time, so was not possible to continue as a team .Frank Scott: What is the role of technology in this particular design?. Israel Lara R : Very important when modeling both shape design and dimensions .Frank Scott: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?. Israel Lara R : The responsibility to observe nature and fateful disasters show that world population was not aware of the deadly reaches of earthquakes, tsunamis, fires, avalanches, floods .Frank Scott: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?. Israel Lara R : Optimize dimensions .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?. Israel Lara R : Because of the scope and status, that this award shows .Frank Scott: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?. Israel Lara R : I have noticed the problem and analysis are more important that the solution, if a problem is addressed before what it should, it will bring more work or unsuccessful results .Frank Scott: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?. Israel Lara R : Made of steel and pressure of water and weight of debris-resistant reinforced plastics, it has a main entrance as well as a rescue access in case of being trapped in the rubble; its color is reflective, Windows made of transparent polycarbonate and its cover phosphorescent to be more easily located regardless of the time or the site of the disaster. The capsule will register the conditions of what had happened and which actions to take depending on the type of disaster, It has food supplies, air purifier and an independent oxygen container, audible and optical alarm system and Backup batteries and Fire-resistant film. .
